How to Make Bacon Cheddar Pork Chops in a Crock Pot

Aunt Lou here.

This Bacon Cheddar Crock Pot Pork Chops are super easy to make folks. How easy? I made them twice in a matter of a few days. Why, you ask…well, I accidentally deleted the photos of the chops from my memory card! However, my family was not complaining since this dish is SO amazing!

I first made this at Camp Lou-da-Cris. There was not a single pork chop left that night! It was met with rave reviews. It was devoured again when I made it just a few days later at home. (I still can’t believe I accidentally deleted those photos! lol)

I love how easy this was to throw together. While my bacon was frying, I got everything else ready to go. (If you have an air fryer, check out Cris’ Air Fryer Bacon recipe. Love it!) Easy peasy!

(Psst…if you want to try this recipe with chicken, check out the recipe here!)

      Hi Jayne!

If you click on the 9 in the recipe card, a slider will appear. You can slide it to the left until the 9 becomes a 3, and it will adjust the amount of all the ingredients in the recipe to match 3 pork chops. When adjusting the amount of ingredients in a crock pot, you will need to watch it closely because the cooking time will most likely change. If you have a 4 quart slow cooker, that would probably work better with 3 pork chops. I hope this helps.

It is supposed to be low. With your pork chops still being raw at the 4.5 hour mark, it sounds like our units cook very, very differently. How long do you usually cook pork chops or chicken for in your slow cooker? Modern slow cookers and vintage slow cookers have the possibility of heating very differently. Our times are based on modern slow cookers. However, we include a note in each post to watch recipes closely the first time you make it to adjust the cooking time as needed for your specific unit, because even modern slow cookers can cook very differently based on brand, size, etc.

It was delicious but it had a lot of liquid in the crock pot after it was done. Is it supposed to or did I do something wrong somehow?

      Hi Sara!

Yes, in this recipe the pork chops and other ingredients produce a good deal of cooking juices. That is where the slotted spoon comes in handy. I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
