1/4 cup, plus 2 Tablespoons of salt
1/4 cup, plus 2 Tablespoons of hot tap water
2 Tablespoons of cinnamon – or more to add a darker brown color, and wonderful scent
Food coloring is optional

• Instructions:
  Combine flour, cinnamon, and salt.
• Add hot water, & food coloring if you want. (without food coloring, the dough will turn a nice brown color with bits of cinnamon throughout).
• Knead for 5 minutes on floured board

How to Make Gingerbread Ornaments

Instructions:
Roll the dough out

• Use your cookie cutters to make shapes

• Once you have made your shapes, use a straw to make a hole into the top of the ornament.
• Some dough may be left in your straw. , tap it or squeeze it out before each ornament.

You can let them air dry for 1-5 days. Bake them on a cookie sheet at 200 degrees for 3 hours to speed up the process.
